Too often, those most affected by poverty are excluded from decision-making spaces and leadership roles. We believe people with lived experience are essential leaders with immense potential to reshape the narrative of poverty. By developing these leaders, we ensure that those closest to the challenges are leading the way to the solutions.

People from different income levels often live separate lives, making it hard to understand each other’s experiences. Our VOIS trainings build the cognitive understanding needed to see the complexities of poverty and lays the groundwork for empathic engagement in work, volunteerism, and advocacy.
